Faith Mwikali Ndiwa Charged In KEMSA Fraud

On Monday, a female individual appeared in court and was accused of creating a fraudulent framework contract under the name of Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) for the provision of long-lasting Insecticidal nets.

Faith Mwikali Ndiwa appeared before Chief Magistrate Susan Shitubi and denied charges of fraud and forgery in connection to supply of nets.

It is alleged that the contract forged was between KEMSA and Ashley Dylan Limited on March 7, 2022 which prosecution say was with a sole aim of defrauding KEMSA millions of monies.

According to the charge sheet, on March 7, 2022 at unknown place within the republic of Kenya, with intent to defraud, she forged an amendment agreement to the framework contract between KEMSA and Ashley Dylan limited for the supply of Long-lasting insecticidal nets purporting it to be genuine agreement entered into by KEMSA and Ashley Dylan limited.

She was also charged a second count of fraudulently obtaining Sh 25,040,150 from a business lady Jude Olabayo Vracruz by falsely pretending she had through her company called Ashley Dylan limited secured a contract with KEMSA to supply Long-lasting insecticidal nets and that the money would be used to complete her bargain.

She denied the charges and was remanded in custody pending her bail application to be canvassed in court on Tuesday morning.
